Westcon Yards Subsea wins historical contract from TechnipFMC

Westcon will deliver 13 structures and 6 PLR’s to TechnipFMC. TechnipFMC has a SURF contract with Equinor for the Breidablikk oil field and the structures will be delivered in February and April 2022. – This is an important contract for our commitment to more demanding subsea deliveries, explains Subsea Manager, Steinar Matre.

Victory for Westcon in appeal case

Gulating Court of Appeal has today given a verdict in the appeal of Westcon vs. ProSafe. The case deals with the dispute between Prosafe and Westcon in regard to the final settlement of the remodeling of Safe Scandinavia from housing rig to support vessel for drilling operations.

Solstad Offshore’s Normand Subsea has arrived at Yards Florø

Normand Subsea is currently getting her classification and a new paint job at Westcon Yards Florø. The ship is an advanced construction ship for ROV underwater operations, and was delivered to Solstad Offshore in 2009 by Palmer Johnson Norway AS at Angholmen in Flekkefjord.

Prosafe to pay Westcon 465 million after court ruling.

Prosafe, an Oslo-listed offshore accommodation rig provider, has to pay around 465 million NOK to Westcon Yards as its appeal over an April court ruling related to a dispute concerning the conversion of one of its flotels was dismissed.

Westcon Yards wins 200 million NOK Fjord1 contract

Westcon Yards Florø has recently signed a contract with Fjord1 for the hybridization of two passenger ferries; MF Glutra and MF Fannefjord. With this the yard in Florø is positioning itself as Norway's leading supplier of battery-operated ferries.
